Planned Events for 2008

We intend to foster, facilitate and maintain a strong sense of unity as Hindu youth through periodic camaraderie events.
• May
  • Adopt a park through the Town of Richmond Hill/Town of Markham & keep the park clean throughout the summer, organize park clean-ups.
    
  • Help out at VOV garden by planting flowers, cleaning up weeds & laying out fertilizer.
• June
  
  • Regular garbage pick-ups at our adopted park.
    
  • Help out at VOV garden.
    
  • Organize a fun day for students of the VOV Montessori School (sports, games, water fight, etc).
    
• July
  
  • Regular garbage pick-ups at our adopted park.
    
  • Volunteer at the Daily Bread food bank; go in a group of up to 30 youth to volunteer at a soup kitchen or non-perishable food sorting facility.
    
• August
  
  • Regular garbage pick-ups at our adopted park.
    
• September
  
  • Tree planting event, similar to the one conducted in 2007.
    
• October
  
  • Volunteer at the CN Tower Stair Climb for United Way. Could also enter a VOV youth group team to take part in the stair climb.
