Sangeet Academy of the Voice of the Vedas was inaugurated with the following objectives in mind:-

  • Allow students to have an appreciation for, and an exposure to the music and dance of the Indian Culture.
  • Train students in the classical art form of Kathak dancing giving them an opportunity to pursue this aspect of the culture to a very high level in the academy.
  • Give students an opportunity to learn the ragas and talas of Indian music and to play these on the musical instruments – The Harmonium and the Tabla.
  • Make this experience an affordable one.

To attain these objectives the academy has recruited a qualified and experienced teacher of Indian Dance Mr. Hemant Panwar to head this school. Hemant is ably assisted with his talented wife Vaishali Panwar (an accomplished dancer and teacher) in the administration and operation of the institution.
